This a great find to start out the Christmas Bird Count. The pair of sapsuckers stayed around for 20-30 minutes. I got very good views of the male sapsucker, and got many photos of it. This was only the third recorded record in the history of taylor county.

Beautiful Magpie Ducks
I've been admiring this pair for several years. Magpie ducks are a British farm breed of domestic duck. However, these are different. They are hybrids, a cross between domestic Magpie and domestic Muscovy. They both have iridescent feathers on them plus red warts at the base of their beaks.
