A very distinctive mosquito, with blue thorax and abdomen, two rear pairs of legs tipped bright white, two front pairs of legs with feathery black tufts, and a slow, obvious, hovering type flight with legs held straight out to the side like airplane wings. Perched at eyelevel on a wooden stem, above a creek, in dry forest ecosystem. I don't recall seeing this species before, so perhaps not common.

Curious if other people have come across Orth. specimens they think are a solid match for Or. alba. I have several in the freezer that I never got around to photographing.
