These were the first Jaguars we encountered on our first boat ride on the Cuiaba River hoping to see these animals. This pair was loafing on a hot afternoon along a sand bank of the river. The pair mated several times. Later the female came to the edge of the river to drink.

Duck Lake
Female blue morph.
Shot taken two days after finding them orphaned (mother killed on side of road). They were eventually adopted by a mother raccoon that brought her kits (and these two) to my deck every evening.
I sat on a rock for about 20 minutes to see if any pika would come out. I saw several from a distance. I was about to leave, when two pika came out on a rock about five feet away, one at a time, and just looked at me for a while. So cute!!
