Very difficult to distinguish between A. excelsa and A. petrei; my ID was based on one character - the stipules being inconspicuous.

plantlets along main leaf, possibly Asplenium but nothing matches in local area, also seen adjacent to Mission Beach QLD C4 local native plant nursery where a staff member thought the common name was "Mother and ...", dense rainforest on partially sunny edge, slow growing, produces mini-plants along the stem that get to about 75mm before falling off , nutrient poor sub-soil basalt / marine metamorphics mix in an ecotone

Very small mushrooms growing out of leaf litter at base of lily pilly tree. Caps fawn brown, striate. Gills pale fawn, intercalcate, fairly deep. Stems brown turning darker towards base, fine peach fuzz.

Not sure if this can be IDd to anything meaningful, but the buttress roots were incredible
