I was thinking that this sighting was of a juvenile Southern Speckled Pigeon Columba guinea ssp. phaeonota (here is the web page for this species: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/721743-Columba-guinea-phaeonota ) but I am confused with the bird’s eye color that doesn’t match that species. Thank you so much for any help in identifying this species. I am really interested to know what it is 🐦😄
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Description
Found in cold wet grass on a leaf so the moth was moved to a dry place.
I submitted the observation to the LepiMAP project and an expert suggested that the moth was a part of the Mythimna genus.

This plant is just over 1 year old (cutting from the Soetvlei Greenbelt sub-population on the 20th of June, 2020). Material picked up off the ground after the City cut it down and left it lying along the canal: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/50264452

Stupidly did not take close-ups of the cuttings.
Cutting material collected with Dr Caitlin von Witt (FynbosLife) on 29 March 2021 from a sub-population in-line with San Juan Ave. Propagated as my grade 12 project and replanted along the greenbelt. These observations serve as a reminder to where they are so that they can be found again. Planted in groups of 3-4 with the occasional Helichrysum cymosum cutting as a companion species. Of course many will not survive.
