This white female Mohave was found in the deserts surrounding Tucson, AZ.

Watching for bears from a hide for 14 hours. Saw at least 22 different bears, probably more. Three different mother bears with two or three cubs from this year.
Genus: Batrachostomus
Species :mixtus Sharpe, 1892.
Common name : Bornean Frogmouth.
It is fomerly considered conspecific with B.poliolophus but lacks extensive white on underparts, male has a much darker crown and female more contrastingly rich rufous. Vocalizations yet to be analysed in depth. It is considered to be monotypic.
These were the first Jaguars we encountered on our first boat ride on the Cuiaba River hoping to see these animals. This pair was loafing on a hot afternoon along a sand bank of the river. The pair mated several times. Later the female came to the edge of the river to drink.

Another great day at the Southeast Arizona iNat-athon! Started at the San Pedro House to look for hummingbirds...and of course, plants and bugs and whatever else. :)

Male adult in a tree in part forest. About 1.2 metres long.
Spotted this beauty on a search for a morning prey and the moment I tried to frame it, it went off to this defensive/offensive post and stayed kaput for a moment and fled off after a moment
