This is a weird one. The overall habit is like M. californica, but the leaf surfaces are hairless. M. integrifolia doesn't fit because this one is not densely glandular (and the leaves aren't quite right anyway).
It was growing on a steep, moist, north-facing bank just above Clear Creek.
