Visiting Symphyotrichum pilosum. Technically, there were males (and females) of Nomia nortoni here most the summer, so I would I'm inclined to guess this is nortoni as well. However, I don't know how to distinguish female nortoni from other potential species at present. Any help is appreciated.

Digging and exploring, seemingly looking for a suitable site for a burrow. I couldn't see any sign of prey stashed nearby and couldn't wait for her any longer. She could make the sand fly when she got going.
Note the "tail light" spot at the end of the abdomen, which shows in a couple of photos.
