Mid-Spring update

Hello everyone. As of today (5/8/21) we have exceeded 5,000observations by our group. To date, we have identified 1,182 different species altogether. We have more than 1,000 identifiers of observations by 287 observers. Our group currently has 19 members. Feel free to invite anyone you feel might contribute to our group.

The groups handled by iNaturalist include:
Unknown…………….………..Protozoans
Fungi…………........................Plants
Chromista………………..…..Mollusks
Insects………………………....Arachnids
Ray-Finned Fi… …………..Amphibians
Reptiles…………………...…..Birds
Mammals……………..……..Other Animals

WELL DONE! This is a great accomplishment for our relatively new group.

This is the height of spring migration, so keep looking for birds in particular. However, if you wish to expand your horizons, there are insects galore, including moths during the evenings. Some of them can be smaller than a grain of rice, and can often be found near outside lights.

If you ever have questions, please don’t hesitate to send a message to me directly, or to anyone else in the group who you feel has a solid knowledge of specific aspects of nature.

Thanks again for being a part of our group.
