Species to find in my Third Year's Journal

November 13, 2023

Time is almost up

Only two days left for this bioblitz!

Thanks to all for finding species that I wanted to see this year. I wish I had seen more of them myself! So you can probably guess that a lot of them will be making a return appearance in the next project.

Unless there are some last minute additions, the numbers to beat next time are 33 observations and 21 species. Not bad, considering these were all things I had never seen before.

Thanks again for making it more fun!

Update: The fourth year project is now available: https://inaturalist.ca/projects/4th-year-species-to-find

If your observations are being collected for this project, they will be collected in the next one too, whether or not you have joined. November 15th itself is a bonus day, in which your observations can potentially be added to both projects!

July bulletin

Keep those hairstreak butterflies coming! If anyone has any tips about where they can be found, let me know.
Congratulation to our members who have made the most of their time visiting different ecological zones and dramatically increased their observations and species counts.
Welcome to those of our members who have recently signed on to their accounts and posted observations. Looking forward to your otter contributions.
Those of us who recently made a lot of captive/cultivated observations, well, it was fun seeing and adding them.
Keep enjoying your summer, and happy observing!

Last day to request new species

This bio-blitz begins tomorrow. If anyone thinks of any species to add before then, I will probably add them! Today I added Genus Anser, which includes snow geese.
