There are lots of plants in the sidewalk cracks, in your yard, or in other similar places that aren't cultivated and aren't native. Some of the species have likely spread from cultivated plants or other sources.

My hope is that scientists and others will be able to use this to best assess the number of invasive and spreading species in the area, how they get there, and how they survive there.
