Species adaptation:
Norway maple trees have become more resistant to air pollution, specifically sulfur dioxide pollution, which allows them to grow in urban settings as well as natural settings.
All plants adaptations:
All of our plants have the ability to survive freezing temperatures either by withstanding it themselves or through their offsprings.

Interesting species-specific adaptation, but how did you observe this? I am not sure that this would really be an adaptation. What was meant by this, is to look at a "feature" if you will, of the species, that allows it to survive, find food/energy, or avoid predation. An example would be: Colorful flowers to attract insects .

For your general adaptation, what would allow your species to survive the cold? That specific feature or quality is the adaptation.
