Dear BioBlitzers,
The Great Southern Bioblitz is drawing near!
It's going to be a bumper time for observations given plenty of spring rain.
Flora & fauna populations are booming, I've noticed lots of frog calls & fungi recently. You can use the app sound recorder, there's no need to photograph a frog, each species has a distinctive call.
Fungi are very photogenic, but hard to identify. I've been recording them in Bendigo's Natural Spaces Project at the moment. Salamon Gully Nature Conservation Reserve is my favourite place for nature observations, what's yours?
Happy nature observing.

Really excited to see what pops up in your neck of the woods - Surf Coast is looking alive with wildflowers - I am hoping we don't have weather like today... which would put a dampener on things, especially moth night hah! Cheers,
Pete

Box Ironbark Forest EVC sure has amazing flora & fauna. Its soils came from the coast, 450 M years ago!! Weather's getting better now, so good chance for moth night.. Aldo
