This is a continuation of last week's workshop, focusing on the Brachycera of Vermont. There will be minimal teaching and mostly just conversations about specific observations. The goal of these meetings is to become more knowledgeable about the diversity of morphospecies in a region, which will help with recognizing families and higher taxa in other regions.

This is our official first meeting of a new series, suggested by @edanko! We will focus on learning the Diptera of New England for the next several weeks, starting with Vermont. We will work on identifying observations left at higher ranks and getting to know the common morphospecies in the region. For simplicity, the identify link is restricted to Brachycera, but we can always change it during the meeting.

This week will be dedicated to reviewing Condylostylus and testing the Nearctic key, due to popular request. This is a great meeting for anyone not very knowledgeable in Condylostylus, as the key is generally very simple to understand.
