City Nature Challenge is less than two weeks away and we hope you are getting geared up to get out and have some fun documenting the state's flora and fauna here and elsewhere. Don't forget when you are out that you can take pictures of any plant or animal, including plants that aren't flowering yet -- just be sure to get pictures of the leaves/stems and a photo of the entire plant to help others with identifying your discovery.
And, don't forget about insects, whether they are the moths that come to your light outside your door to those insects of all kinds, tiny and large, on flowers, leaves and elsewhere -- they all count!
Good luck!

The City Nature Challenge in the San Antonio Metropolitan Area has been very successful. There was an increase from 2020 of over 2300 observations and over 250 species. This was achieved with poor observation conditions on Saturday, usually the most prolific observation day.
