Rebecca Monroe: Natural Area Observations Week 5
This week I explored more of the Acalanes Ridge, however, this time I walked about 3 miles along the trail. The landscape surrounding most of the trail has rolling hills with very dry grass. I turned onto a part of the trail that resembled the plant community oak woodland, and found the plants that I observed near a small creek. This area had dark, moist soil and was made up of mostly grass and oak trees.
