Hello. I am an amateur naturalist. I make high-quality observations of every animal I can take a photo of. I suggest that all my photos remain on the site when I die. I have never seen or documented an endangered species (except for that one photo that might have been a North Atlantic right whale, of course), but my friends found a few and I hope I do someday! ✨🐢✨🦎✨🦁✨🦈✨

I used to like to tap “Other” and then select “Identify”, then farm identifications. I no longer do this, as I know it’s a bit bad. But please don’t take my identifications and drop my place on the leaderboard, thank you. 🙏🏼

Remember to always have fun on INaturalist! Don’t upload photos of animals in zoos and aquariums (which happens ALL THE TIME) or it will forever be casual! Also, always remember to include the date and location or it will forever be casual! Also, DO NOT take photos from the internet to use as observations. That’s just bad news. I do not want INaturalist, a serious website where photos of animals are used by scientists, to get clogged up with casual observations. It seems like this is heading to a bursting point. 🥵

So if you want your observations to be useful, do this!
