Actually, I have no idea whether this is a plant or animal or part of an animal or plant. It was first seen on the sand flats at low tide, but was next found on the beach. My neighbour picked it up for to put it in its Curren location on the top of the foredune. I can confirm that the whole structure is soft, but not jelly-like in my opinion. My best guess is it is some form of marine invertebrate.
