Berry Springs Preserve Herps of Texas report, 19Mar2016

Three veterans and one rookie braved the sudden cold and wind compared to the day before, and were rewarded with three amphibian species at Berry Springs Preserve. Rio Grande Leopard Frogs (CI = 1, photo of one individual), American Bullfrog (CI = 1), and Blanchard's Cricket Frogs (CI = 2) were observed (all were recorded). Two bullfrogs were seen in amplexus, but they were too shy to pose for photos. Algae/vegetation had been raked from the ponds earlier in the week.
