Located in Southeastern Massachusetts, USA.

As a naturalist, my main focus is interpretation. From 2009 to 2022, I was a professional educator in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, US. I developed curriculum for and co-taught weekly environmental justice classes — developed curriculum for and co-led a week-long ecology day camp for upper elementary children and young adolescents.

I've changed jobs, and now do interpretation as a volunteer. Co-director of Ecojustice Camp, a week-long day camp in Cohasset https://ecojusticecampsouthshore.org — lead workshops in environmental justice and ecological spirituality for children, teens, and adults. Still developing curriculum. Interested in connecting with other interpreters.

As an iNat observer, I'm slowly improving my skills in Kingdom Plantae. A former art student, I'm inspired by the plant photographs of Karl Blossfeldt https://www.moma.org/artists/24413 and John Gossage's 1985 book The Pond.

As an identifier, I work on "Unknowns" from Plymouth and Norfolk counties, Mass., U.S. — usually IDing to high level taxa, trying to help new users get their observations identified.

California Certified Naturalist program in 2021. Mass. Audubon's Field Naturalist Certificate Program in 2023. (Both equivalent to"Master Naturalist" certification in other U.S. states.)
