Hi iNaturalists!
Although I signed up to iNaturalists a few years back, I have only recently got the bug, so to speak, and am now working through my many many photos to upload and identify.

I have been a wildlife carer involved in care and rehabilitation of mammals, birds and reptiles in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria since 2008 and have the privilege of getting up close and personal with these incredible creatures. This allows me to look closely and photograph things that may not be seen by a general observer. I hope to share these on iNaturalist for you all to see.

In more recent years I have become a little obsessed with bugs and plants too, and spending time in the garden observing insects or out at night spotting moths has become my down time from the busy work of a wildlife carer. The wildlife I care for must eat natural foods and as such, I am finding many insects amongst the trees and bushes I find myself amongst while searching for food.

Where photos are taken of an animal while it is in care, the location noted will be the location of the animal's home where was found and ultimately released, so as not to distort the distribution data on this database.

I am loving spending many hours investigating and appreciate the help and guidance of the iNaturalist community.
Happy spotting.
Kay
