The Santee Fire Department (SFD) provides a service for residents to remove any dangerous snakes far, far away from their property.

Mountain biker catches rattlesnake fight in Trione-Annadel State Park on video.

Out for a bike ride in Trione-Annadel State Park last week, Santa Rosa's Nicholas Moreda didn't expect to come face to face with some of the most dangerous snakes in Northern California.

But, that's exactly what happened when he was met with not one, but two, deadly Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes. Lucky for Moreda, the two reptiles were too preoccupied with each other to take much notice of him.

Hikers warned after rattlesnake bites woman at Torrey Pines.

Sunday afternoon shortly after 1 p.m. a 33-year-old woman was bitten along trail through Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve to the beach at Flat Rock. She was hoisted off the trail by a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department helicopter and flown to a nearby hospital. As of Monday afternoon, her condition was still unknown.
