The Field Companion to the Mammals of Australia by Van Dyck, Gynther, and Baker
The Complete Guide to Finding the Mammals of Australia by David Andrew.

The first two are both comprehensive, covering all species in the country & territories (which is rare). The first is a large hardback book, with photographs of every species save the long-extinct ones. The second is a smaller-sized volume intended for use in the field, and contains dichotomous identification keys for each state and small drawings and photos of the species. And the last is a specialized travel guidebook for where and how to see Australian mammals in the wild. less ↑
