Land for Wildlife - Ipswich Project Making Headway

Congratulations to our top observers!

It has been insightful watching new observations being submitted and learning about the biodiversity across our landscape. We have had over 750 observations in just over two weeks, from native fish to exotic weeds, this information can help guide conservation efforts.

The Land for Wildlife - Ipswich project has provided a great opportunity for members to showcase observations on their properties, we are looking forward to seeing more members join and more observations submitted.

Happy observing.
Steph

Welcome to the Ipswich iNaturalist project

Your Conservation Partnerships team would like to welcome you to an exclusive project for your property observations.

This is a project initiated between Ipswich City Council's Land for Wildlife Officers and Biodiversity Officer. The objectives are to provide a platform for you to submit flora and fauna observations from your property. With our ever changing landscapes and extreme weather conditions, it is important to have an understanding of the presence and absence of biodiversity to help inform targeted management of threats to native species.

Once you have been accepted into the project and start submitting your observations, you can click the 'Obscure' location setting on each submission. This will ensure the observation location is not targeted, if you did have any concerns. As this is a private project, via invitation only, your observations are not publicly shared.

From your resident Brush-tailed Possum to an infrequent visit from a Powerful Owl, we want to hear about it!

If you have any problems or concerns you can contact us,
Stephani Macarthur, Dani Andlemac (07) 3810 6026 partnerships@ipswich.qld.gov.au
Or Tim Shields (07) 3810 6186 tim.shields@ipswich.qld.gov.au

Welcome and happy observing!
