Sonoma-based research team discovers den of mountain lion cubs.

Last week, Audubon Canyon Ranch made a surprising discovery of 10-day-old mountain lion cubs in a den near Glen Ellen. The three cubs belong to P1, a female mountain lion the team has been studying.

Dead Whale off San Diego Becomes Giant Great White Shark’s All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.

A great white shark the size of a Vanagon was off of Oceanside on Monday morning. But don’t worry, it was full — the gargantuan female had been gorging itself for nearly a day on the remains of a bloated humpback whale.
