The purpose of this project is to monitor the abundance of bird species on Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei land at Whenua Rangatira and Pourewa. 10 minute bird counts were used; the first five minutes measuring species abundance, the second 5 minutes just noting any additional species that were seen or heard.
