End of Year in Scarsdale

On 4th December members of FNCB got together at the Scarsdale property owned by @billelder and Kathy, to celebrate the end of another year.

Bill led people on a tour of the property. Many wildflowers which would have been and gone in normal years were still putting on a show in December due to our cold wet spring. You can see all the observations people did on the day by clicking here.

(Please note, this query captures some observations people made nearby. The South African weed orchid was not on the Scarsdale property!)

Margaret stumped us with the "catch of the day", a strange sea creature she found washed up on the beach down past Barwon Heads a year ago. No-one knew what it was, so Vireya took some photos and uploaded them. And now we know - it's a Spiny Pipehorse! (Research Grade, too).

Many thanks to Bill and Kathy for their hospitality, and best wishes to all until our next meeting in February.
