I've always had a keen interested in the natural world and was delighted when Inner West Council (Sydney) proposed a bird survey group for the local area. Since it's inception in 2011, I have been regularly involved with Tempe Birdos and survey monthly at Tempe Wetlands (Council's priority biodiversity area) and Tempe Reserve. Since surveying began in these 2 areas, in 10.5 years Tempe Birdos have identified 122 birds species and counted 18,000+ individual birds.
