I am a retired conservationist and a trained/certified wildlife rehabilitation volunteer - like an EMT for wildlife. Proud recipient of July 2022 "Star of the Month" Dark Sky Award. We asked city leaders to replicate large cities that chose high quality LED streetlights. So many cities are unnecessarily overlighting with low quality, high-glare LEDs. Carefully selected streetlights:

• meet 2016 AMA recommendations
• improve visibility and traffic safety for drivers and pedestrians

• mitigate harmful impacts on nocturnal wildlife, insects, migrating birds and ecosystems.
