I'm an amateur bee enthusiast living in Canberra. In my early days, I kept European honey bees, then switched to native stingless bees which I have kept for about 20 years on the NSW South Coast and in Qld. My interest has now expanded to include native solitary bees. While my initial focus has been on the ACT and the NSW South Coast region, I enjoy finding and identifying native bees anywhere on my travels and learning more about the distribution of native bee in Australia.

In 2022, I published a guide book "Native bees of the ACT and NSW South Coast - A spotter's guide". It is available in local bookshops and via the website www.NativeBeesACT.net.

My aim is to increase public interest in native bees, to highlight their importance in the environment, and to work towards native bee conservation.
