So many taxa, so little time...
I especially love plants and arthropods.

I am a Professor at Eastern Kentucky University specializing in landscape ecology, and the Associate Director of the Division of Natural Areas (https://naturalareas.eku.edu/), which protects and manages three ecological field stations: Lilley Cornett Woods, Maywoods, and Taylor Fork.

My research focuses on monitoring and mapping upland embedded wetlands and improving the vegetative index of biotic integrity for Kentucky wetlands. I am secretary of the Kentucky Native Plant Society, check out this amazing group at knps.org and upload your plant observations on iNat!

Collaboratively (with @john_abrams, @shelby_fulton, @jameswagner2), we are compiling the field guide to Kentucky spiders and other common arachnids. Our project page is: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/aokycollection
