I have had a lay interest in the natural world around me, since my early childhood. I have done one year's study at the tertiary level in Biology (1966) Anthropology (1966) and Geology (1963).
I have an established garden with mostly exotics because of the harsh coast conditions and the original garden designer's interest in colour and of foliage more than flowers.
I have recently had time and opportunity to be re-engaged with the natural ecology of changing geomorphology as I drive, and stop for the necessary breaks from long sitting.
I live in Kiama, NSW. I am in my 75th year as I make this new start in my life.
