Just someone that enjoys observing and experiencing nature, as well as photography, art and music. My interest in nature and the Australian bush has lead me into environmental advocacy which remains a deep interest, as it has been for more decades than I can care to remember, both in Victoria and in Queensland where I have resided for over thirty years.

Two iNaturalist projects that I manage or co-manage relate to natural bushland sites in Brisbane's south-western suburbs that we saved through community-based environmental advocacy:

.. Saved in Jan 1992, the Brisbane River's Pullen Reach riverfront bushland is encompassed by this project: https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/projects/pullen-reach-bushland-reserve-westlake-riverhills-bushcare-group.

.. Saved in April 2005, Pooh Corner Bushland Reserve is represented by this project:

A third project is Wacol Bushlands, a nature reserve since 2008 which abuts the Pooh Corner Bushland Reserve: https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/projects/wacol-bushlands

All three sites are reserves owned and managed by Brisbane City Council.
