Hello from Gumbaynggirr country, Coffs Harbour region. I am an avid daily hiker/bushwalker, citizen scientist, observer of nature. I find great joy and privilege in learning all I can about the ecosystems we are a part of. I started using iNaturalist after becoming involved with a local organisation to track endangered species and learned of the need for more data from the local community. Finding out that this data could be used to help create policy to support regeneration and conservation efforts of their habitats was such a motivator to make the time to submit my observations.

I have a background in Data Systems administration and I find it fun to connect and collaborate in strengthening this database's accuracy, being a part of discovering new species, and engaging with other curious minds. I have a keen interest in the fungal kingdom and many more.

I've so appreciated all the help in identification from fellow observers and hope to be able to give back more as I grow my classification skills (currently taking a Bush Regen course)
