This any has a large red head and a red thorax and a black rear section. It is extremely small and even though it was on a handrail at a park there were more of the same type in an ant hill on the ground on the other side of the bridge. The area was moist and sunny. It had just rained and they were still active. Their physical characteristics as well as their behavior matches that described in http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/urban/ants/fl_carpenter_ants.htm. Eastern Gray Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis)

Description

The squirrel was in a heavily shaded area looking for food. It was under a cluster of oak trees and surrounded by other squirrels. This girl was smaller than the others and was unusually friendly. His brown coat and white underbelly along with the white stripes on the sides of his tail match the description found another reference source. The squirrel was also digging in the dirt with its paws and eating acorns before I took a picture of him.

Date

Description

This lizard was seen in a bright and sunny area. It is small and brown roughly the size of my phone including its long tail. I made the observation by the pool however I think that this lizard was just looking for food here this is not where it normally lives. There was no present red neck bubble so this may be a female lizard. this lizard had tan/yellow back markings similar to those in other references. (https://srelherp.uga.edu/lizards/anosag.htm)

Date

October 20, 2019 05:55 PM EDT

Description

This mushroom was found in the middle of a shady damp area. It had just rained a lot over the entire weekend and there were several bugs that seemed to be in a symbiotic relationship with this fungus. The top of this fungus is varying shades of brown and are flat. They all stem from one central location upwards and outwards in large bundles just off the sidewalk. This location and visual appearance match those described in https://www.mushroomexpert.com/lyophyllum_decastes.html. The heads are about the size of a Silverdollar and are circular.

these plants are bright green and waxy to the touch. The end of the leaves are rigid naturally and have no notable smell. They were growing in an area that had sun and shade and the soil was wet so I can assume that they get lots of rain. they have a strong stem and the leaves are evenly spaced.
