The tail was banded, steel gray with darker gray or back. I watched it swoop down on and kill a Spotted Towhee in our backyard. I think it felt/sensed me watching from my living room, it looked right at me at one point. Once the SPTO was better in grip it took off with it towards Mitchell Park.
