Back in 2017 we had added bark chips to our Swan View garden and this wasp came to visit. It fossicked around on and under the bark. It was interesting to see it burrow down and then return to the surface, not leaving a burrow.

There were many of these 3-4 mm hoppers in the evening in the garden. They were sitting on the leaves of Marigold Tree (Tithonia diversifolia) but also on other plants.
