Collected Specimen requires ID. Found growing with Native wildflowers, Darwinia,citridora, broom rape weed and about 3-5 metres away from Pine trees. Growing in grey sandy soil with bark mulch on top. Specimen Geastrum like in appearance except when you look closer it has 2 seperate mouths (Peri-stomes), 7 rays, ridges underneath the endo- peridium, endo peridium is more flatter and firmer and grey in colour to touch than your typical geastrum.

Geastrum Pectinatum Group (Complex Geastrum pectinatum)Observer

Very similiar to Tenuipes ( or Pectinatum) except tip of peristome longer, endo- peridium more elongated and rays will be facing downwards in a clump rather than outwards like tenuipes is. 8 rays beige in colour 3 layered, no collar, expanded Basidioma in situ. No presence of stalk (Stipe), blue colouring of Endo- peridium. Peristome is beaked and finely fibrillose.

Convex pileus, adnate gill attachment, hymenium contains veil, pores, base and stipe are equal Clavate( equal club shaped) and has flat scales on top of pileus. Lamelle are crowded, and are slightly pinkish in colour spore print easily seen after pulling Veil away on veil and is dark brown. Stipe has slight yellowing. No noticable odour.
