2nd Nature Walk: Eco-Evo - Fungi

During the nature walk, my two classmates and I walked through the outskirts of campus to the back roads of neighborhoods between Boston College and StarMarket. The day lacked sun, but it was a pleasant temperature as we walked in our sweaters. The Fungi and Lichen were surprisingly prevalent and fun to look for. We found many blending into the falling leaves, in the nooks of trees, and generally in patches. I will keep my eyes peeled for fungi in the future, as there was a lot of biodiversity and richness of species that I did not realize I was missing around me on campus and nearby.
