Animal encontrado no jardim da residência, localizada na borda da restinga , a 50 metros do mar.

Wikipedia:

Latrodectus corallinus é uma espécie de aranha viúva nativa da Argentina . Tem aproximadamente 12 milímetros (0,47 pol.) De tamanho e é principalmente preto com grandes marcas vermelhas em seu abdômen, além de um anel vermelho em forma de quadrado embaixo de seu abdômen.

Habitats
Latrodectus corallinus , como seus parentes norte-americanos , é encontrado ao ar livre e em ambientes fechados, e é comumente encontrado em campos agrícolas.

Hábitos
Latrodectus corallinus , como a maioria das espécies de Latrodectus , não é agressivo. O horário de pico da atividade de Latrodectus corallinus é entre os meses de dezembro e março (verão no Hemisfério Sul ).

Venom e tratamento
O veneno de Latrodectus corallinus é neurotóxico e é acompanhado por contrações musculares, dor e sudorese ( latrodectismo ). As mordidas são tratadas com antiveneno e analgésicos.
