Description

Oh my gosh this beetle was so big, a length of 4cm and standing height of 2cm, I could see it on the plant from over 5m away, a giant jewel bug. Saw some similarities to some in the inat gallery but when I looked at the size they didn't match.

Description

I have included 3 images of the same insect for reasons of clarity. It was very well camouflaged, located on an immature Mango for at least an hour and a half.. The Mango measured exactly 20mm in length, and there is no sign of it having been damaged by the insect. The altitude on the property is 626m asl.. The antennae were very long and thin.
