This crawling beach vine in the Convolvulaceae family has simple, alternate leaves with a smooth margin.
Leaves have 8-20 lateral veins on either side of the midrib, short petioles, and glands on their stems.
The upper and underside of the leaf is smooth and the undersurface is a paler color.
The leaves also have an overall obicular shape with a retuse apex and cordate base.
The vine has quaint purple or violet flowers.
