Kleinmond Flannel #3 reared (male)

2 April 2016:

Caterpillar collected along sandy path to Jean's Hill zigzag, on Brunia nodiflora cf.

5 May 2016:

It burrowed and spun a hard cocoon in the sand at the bottom of its tub.

25 October 2016:

Adult male emerged, very restless! Initially it sat still with wings closed on the twig included in the tub, but soon it started to walk and climb upwards with the abdomen squirming this way and that. When it got to the top of whatever it was on the feet would search frantically for something higher to grab onto. It did not fly, and it did not stop clambering about.
