Bally Mtn CA on Backhousia leptopetala. Hundreds of small trees observed (~3m) all with around 10% dieback (not sure if this is from Myrtle rust), otherwise seemingly healthy with new growth.
15-20cm height. Simple leaf. Serrated edge. I took a photo as it caught my eye as something new. I am not from this region. Found in Meridian plains in dense woodland setting, riparian forest.
