North West Bay River near Sandfly Tas
quiet a few in the shallows in Crater Lake at Cradle Mountain NP
Approximately 15cm long.
The urchin heart was well and truly cleaned out when we first came across this pair, and I don't know who or what broke it open, but the leatherjacket seemed very intently focussed on eating all the spines off the outside of it. The urchin appeared to be one of the large peach-orange Amblypneustes lookalikes that started showing up over the last season or two.
