Description

Erumpent yellow fungus that looks like Colpoma. I did not know the type of tree that this twig was from.

Bonus in the first photo is the beautiful bug with purple appendages!

Second photo is a closeup of the fungus

I would love to know what these are. As you can see by the Springtail in the first shot, these are only 2mm or so across. Growing among moss and liverworts on living wood (I wish I'd noted the plant species at the time).

Almost Lachnum like with the furry edges but lacking a stipe and some specimens containing a fluid in the centre reminiscent of Sphaerobolus stellatus.

Claussenomyces australis
Identified as Helotiales on Bowerbird by Reiner Richter: "I agree with Tamara, Claussenomyces australis - another good find as these are rare. I have only seen them on Eucalyptus regnans logs - yyours looks possibly like Eucalyptus too."
