Keys to “Undetermined genus” near Toxocnemis (Leskiini) in Crosskey (1973). Body length 10 to 11mm.
Some notes on male specimens for characters not readily seen:
HEAD: eyes with only sparse micro hairing; strong facial carina absent; arista with short hairing along length (shorter than basal diameter), swollen on basal third; postocullar row absent; palps thin along length, barely projecting from oral margin.
THORAX – Pleura & Prosternum setae/hairing: sternopleurals 2+1; propleuron bare; infrasquamal hairs absent; barette sparsely haired (4-8, appearing random in placement along most of length, posterior ¼ or so bare); prosternum bare; pteropleural seta not differentiated (two strong setae with one slightly longer).
