So there I was, at Disneyland with the family, and of course my mind is on what wildlife I might be able to scrounge out of the park. The 7D Mark II and 400mm lens was too big to lug around all day, so I did the best I could with my little Sony bridge camera. Enjoy!

In-between
In winter and spring, male mallards are in breeding colors with iridescent green heads and a bright white stripe at the base of that green with a black butt and pale solid color sides. In summer they are in non-breeding or eclipse colors and are dull and nondescript looking, with markings more like the females. This male mallard is half way thru the process of molting out of his pretty colors and into his dull summer colors.
