It is most likely a female, judging by the antlers.

Small head, slender tail, plump long body, similar size to a robin, greyish brown colour, black spots on the wings

I know this is an Eastern Phoebe because of its brownish-gray head and back, and its white breast. Also, Eastern Phoebe's tend to nest under overhangs, which was where it was found.

This is indentifyable by its blue head and back, and its rusty throat and breast. Also it is the right size.

By vernal pond under speckled alder and red maples. In bloom.

Calling from Eastern hemlocks

Pile of blue jay feathers on ground. Possibly predated.
Predated barred owl found nearby.

Empty and opened

Little owl sitting in a tree. Yellow eyes. Ear tufts, with a small yellowish bill.

Very tiny owl. Reddish brown above, white below, with reddish streaks. Reddish facial disc, with dark bill.

Making nasal "uh uh" call.

White trout lily by side of creek, folded white petals.

ID Reasoning:

• Large grey-blue bird
• Long yellow-orange bill
• Black plume on head along with black crown
• Very long neck

Green fern. Not sure which one it is?

Dark brownish gray on head, wings and tail. Underparts were mostly white with pale olive wash on sides.

Black neck and head. Rufous sides. White underparts. Red eye, and thick black bill.

Winter adult. Trace of rust color on crown. Brown cheek. Gray front with no streaking.

Small, short brown snake with a weird head pattern.

Small kinglet, with a thick broken eyering, and 1 white wingbar on each wing!

Chestnut color below with contrasting white belly, white undertail coverts. Bright blue back, and small bill!

Exuviae found on trunk of White Pine. Adults heard and seen nearby.
